Known Lands...?

Terra Incognita is what people normally refer to as 'unknown' lands.. and what I tried to accomplish with this group, was to add an extra substance to the mapmaking community. Creating a piece of the unknown in the place we already know (life on Earth and our solar system with all our fantasies). At the same time I want to combine that with the illustrating capacity of landscaping photography and mattepainting.

What I hope for this group in the long run, would be to make this a place to nurture dreams and fantasies and be a bridge between both worlds of the abstract and the concrete..

For now, this group will seem a bit empty, and I really hope that in time it will manage to make a difference and show how interconnected illustrations and mapmaking actually are.
